Granola Cereal

Morning is a crucial time of day, as the body, after a night's rest, requires adequate and balanced nutrition to start the new day. These nutrients include:

Carbohydrates that provide energy for the body;

High-quality proteins that help maintain normal muscle and tissue function;

Healthy fats, such as Omega-3 fatty acids, that support brain function;

Dietary fiber that promotes intestinal motility and prevents constipation;

Vitamins that boost the immune system;

Minerals that maintain the body's normal physiological functions...

How can one breakfast simultaneously provide all the essential nutrients the body needs? By incorporating raisin, walnut kernel, and pumpkin seed/ kernel into a healthy cereal breakfast, you can ensure a comprehensive intake of nutrients and start your day with vitality.


Granola cereal is not only a great breakfast option but also an excellent travel food. Simply mix milk powder into the cereal and place it in a container. Once you reach your destination, just add water to enjoy.

 

Ingredients:

Oatmeal

150g of nuts (walnut kernels)

50g of mixed seeds (pumpkin seeds/ kernels, sunflower seeds & Kernels, etc.)

50g of Kingland raisins

Ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon of sea salt

50ml of pumpkin seed oil or other vegetable oil

Maple syrup

Milk

 

Steps

1) Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C. Line a large baking tray with baking parchment to prevent the granola from sticking.

2) In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. In a separate jar, mix together the pumpkin seed oil (or other vegetable oil) and maple syrup.

3) Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly to ensure that all the dry ingredients are evenly coated and there are no dry clumps.

4) Spread the mixture onto the lined baking tray in a uniform layer. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

5) Every 8-10 minutes, stir the mixture to ensure it dries evenly and doesn't clump together.Keep an eye on the nuts, as they can easily burn

6) Remove from the oven and transfer to a tray to cool completely. Use a wooden spoon to break up any large granola clusters. Store in an airtight container for up to one month.

7) If desired, serve with milk or yogurt and fresh seasonal fruits.
